Marketing Definition

What is definition of marketing? However, marketing isn’t simply like person who sales the product. The definition itself is change follow with dynamic trend of the market. Below are the definition of marketing according to marketing association and expert.

“Marketing is the activity, set of institutions and processes for creating, communicating, delivering, and exchanging offering that have value for customers, clients, partners, and society at large.” (The American Marketing Association)

Philip Kotler, Keller and Burton in their marketing management book give social definition of marketing, “Marketing is a societal process by which individuals and groups obtain what they need and want through creating, offering and freelyexchanging products and services of value with others”

The marketing management is the art and science of choosing target markets, and getting, keeping and growing customers through creating, delivering and communicating superior customer value (Kotler, Keller & Burton, 2009)

Marketing has aim to influence people and organization choice to purchase product and services.
